secretary thanked all members and everyone else who helped out during the 2017 season.
there was a review of the 2017 season, fishing and social events.
the coming season 2018:the points system, all 9 match results will count this year, also teams of 4 and shadow league, all matches will count.there will be no dropping of your worst result.
no one will be leaving the club this year. we have 2 new full time members bringing the club up to 22 members.
this means there will be 1 extra round in the singles and doubles k.o. trophies. the teams of 4, an extra team was added. the 2 new members plus 2 other members drawn from a number bag will team up. this means 2 members will be in 2 teams of 4.

stuart berrow and gordon chester re-elected as weighing in with dan and adrian constable in reserve.
tony kibble, dave gordon and colin horner re-elected as pegging out with adrian constable in reserve.
early pegs: john poole,micky davis.colin hewitt,dave preece,maurice constable and bob williams will be in pegs closest to car park. jim langston depending on his health may be added to this list.
secretary put foreward idea of renting the clubs own stretch of canal from the canal and river trust. it was decided by members that we would not use the water enough to justify paying rent on it for 3 years.
it was decided by members that there will be 3 coach trips again this year.1 a none fishing trip to weston super mare on armed forces day/air show 23rd june 2018, 2 fishing trips first 1 to stourport on severn on staurday july 28th followed by a trip to shrewsbury on saturday september 15th. trip to weston there will be 50 seats to fill.2 fishing trips there will be only 45 seats available due to amount of fishing tackle on coach ,we will need back seat for the rods. the cost of the trips to be anounced shortly.
presentation night: it was firstly decided to use the fox & goose again but after talking with bromford residence club manager the members decided give the residence club a go provided the manager sorts the bar/heating and toilets out which he has promised to do. date of presentation to be sorted shortly.
any other business: adrian constable will try to sort club some sponsorship.
dave gordon asked for a bit more support from members to attend all matches,coach trips and presentation night.
