well the matches are coming quick and fast now and yesterday we fished the clubs 4th bye match at the riddings fishery near atherstone. it was an overcast day but quite warm so things looked good. i drew peg 6 with gordon and tony either side of me, john snr drew the golden peg on the other side from us.i couldn't see tony but sure could hear him he was in to a fish first cast. took me about twenty minutes to catch my first fish a nice mirror of about 8 lbs. i caught another one next cast about the same size while tony kept reeling em in on the other side of the bullrushes.i was casting to the middle of the lake and having a bite a cast but couldn't hit the fish i started fishing about 2 rod length's out and started to hit the big buggers and tony just kept reeling em in for the last 2 hours it was carp a cast, and tony just kept reeling em in! i new i had a very good weight but tony just kept reeling em in ! i new exactly what was going to happen and i was right cuz tony bloody kibble just kept reeling em in ! yes i smashed the club record by 30lbs and still got bloodywell beat i had put 128-08-00 on the scales but my neighbour had done it again he had just kept reeling em in all bloody day! tony won the match with a fantastic catch of 133-00-00, well done tony no bad feelings from me , yeah right!!!! no tony fished a blinder well done mate. below we find john jnr still wearing those bloody awful trackie bottoms john did well and came 4th the three wise men before the off mr golden peg himself john snr didn't quite catch enough to win the pot on the day i think john cummins is asleep in the jungle! colin caught this beauty right at the death and we called it colin cuz it had a belly like colins! well what can i say the clubs very own winston churchill . he fought em on the beaches but couldn't catch many fish ! mr mobbs always looks the part, silly old sod! god i hate him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile john you had a good day one of our two birthday boys neil put a good few fish on the scales as always. mark helps me with the paper work, while gordon notices he's had his pocket picked i give him it back he only had a fiver in his wallet !
