well our 4 match series came to an end at curborough fishery on the canal pool lichfield. 14 members fished out a tight match in which the main species was not carp but gold fish! i think 13 of the 14 of us caught at least one gold fish. weather was warm , showery with the wind all over the place. it was a 3 way match for this years championship with gordon, micky and dave gordon in with a chance of winning this years title. micky was pegged on one of the disabled pegs while gordon and dave could keep an eye on one another at the corner of the pool. anyway off we go and it's a bite a chuck, bloody gudgeon! i must have caught 100 of the buggers and i bet they didn't way a pound!
anyway in the end dave gordon won the match with just over 9 pounds, andrew was second, paul third and colin 4th. gordon came 5th which meant dave won the title by 1 point ( jammy git!
) from his cousin gordon. if gordon had caught 9oz more then he would have won. bad luck gordon and congratulations to dave.
just a few pics of the day below ( god i'm missing john and his camera
