well this was the third bye match and i was really looking foreward to this match as i had heard some rave reports about the venue in recent weeks.weather was excellent ,water looked excellent infact i thought i was going to bag up here no problem, WRONG!!!!!!!!!! match started well with dave gordon into a good carp in the first five minutes but he lost it and nobody laughed! much , unlucky dave should have kept my mouth shut as he continued to catch good fish all through the match while yours truely struggled for bites. to my right gordon and john cummins got off to good starts with a couple of decent fish each.some excellent fish coming out but a good few of us stayed fishless right to the end below we have second placed on the day micky davis's catch of 30lb plus well done micky back on form. another good bag of fish caught by john goode snr dave trying to pull his net in for weighing alfie looks stunned he caught a fish well done alfie for knocking me out of the singles k.o. GIT! well done john a veiw across the pool with colin and dave preece in the background next we have wil the lobster catcher and here we find mark weighing in stan's catch here's daved gordons 37lb plus winning catch, that'l teach me to laugh at his misfortune well done dave dave's biggest fish of the day a 10lb carp here's andrew after a hot day in the sun john cummins at the weigh in getting through in both singles and doubles by beating golden peg gordon, well done john. my dad at the weigh in yet another one who beat me, oh happy days dave the dram does it again i'll never hear the end of this well done david mr preece trying to find his whopper! next we find the nearly man , colin in third place again unlucky mate maybe next time
what went wrong boys on the day some excellent fish caught but 6 of us caught bugger all, strange sort of day! oh well thats fishing for ya, see you all at bonehill in a couple of weeks. i have a few more pictures to post went i get time.
