well today saw us back on moving water on the river anker at bolehall tamworth. the river was up a couple of feet and coloured after the rain we've had this week but still looked good!!!!!
we arrived on site and once again we lost the two john's on route
with everyone on the car park of the bolehall social club we had the draw. having pegged out with tony and dave i was hoping for a low numbered peg as it was a long walk to pegs 13 - 19 guess what i drew? yeah 19
it was a cracking peg but a bloody long walk
with most people set up and ready to go i reached my peg with all my pole gear that i thought i'd need! ended up all i really needed was a stick float set up a chair and a box of maggots, why do i lugg around so much unwanted bloody gear?
andrew kibble had drew the golden peg and was only 3 places away from winning it in the end, so that now rolls over to the last match and the pot will be 90 quid!
from the off i started catching bits, minnows, gudgeon, dace, chublets, roach and perch.
i thought i was struggling but as most of the lads started bank walking it was plain to see it had turned into a bit of a gruller! shame as i had high hopes for this match.
there are no pictures today because our photo man john had looked his camera in marks car along with his keys!!!!!!!!!!!! wooooops
it was hard going but weather was good and we had a good turn out so thanks all.
see you all on the cut at bodymore heath for the fur & feather next month.
