well after trying my luck on the river blythe last weds i had another go on the same river but this time at packington sommers stretch on friday. they say on their site that they have 20 good pegs, i found 3 !!!!!!!!!!!!! Rolling Eyes

i fished all three these are them below.

this is as far as i could get without a machetti! scratch

it was like a cross between bamboo and rhubarb and it was about 10 foot high !

i was catching a fish a chuck when i found the river lol!

only small stuff perch, roach, dace, gudgeon,chublets and even a skimmer.

this time i wasn't bothered by pike but i had another problem the river is full of these beasties! Rolling Eyes

We don't seem to have much balsam down here thank god. Very prolific along the Teme around Tenbury.
Crayfish everywhere down here now along with Chinese mitten crabs in the Thames.
Must say the river looks ok, nice and intimate

love the river blythe chris i have fished most of it over the years. never see anyone all day long. just how i like it.
