Sorry Keith no pics.
Fishing was remarkably good considering the intense heat.
Managed two trips to Arley, one on the island where we had 10 barbel to three of us to 7-1, one to below the bridge on the fast water where we had 4 to three of us to 8-1. All fish came to meat pushed through on the lead in the fast water.
Had a spell at Bewdley below the ford in the town, two of us hammered the dace but no great size alas,i had some roach, chublets and a brownie as well. I also had a barbel rolling meat through on the lead.
Lincomb weir was tough, only small dace and roach, but not surprising considering the heat.
Had a morning trout fishing which was also tough but we managed a few before retiring to the local
Jam Factory was mixed. The main carp lake, the big one at the far end produced a really good bag of roach to a pound, rudd to 12 oz,crucians to around a pound and a half along with black goldfish of same weight and odd bream on a really scorching morning. The lake we fished last year(where you found us) ie the second one was useless with only a few small very dark carp.. Had a good bag of carp to 8-15 from the first lake, mostly small however.
Think they must have stocked some of the lakes with fresh carp as we were catching almost black fish from first and second lake, all around the same size.
Oh well another year over and done with
