Tried the 'Jam factory' whilst away.Fished the last but one pool twice and we had some stonking roach and rudd with plenty around the 14 ounce mark,carp to around 12lb,bream to 3lb,Tench and some fan tail black goldfish and the odd true crucian to around 1.5lb.The owner found it odd that we did not target the carp,we said the silver fish were in such good nick that we would rather catch those instead.
Fished the next pool down from that and i did very well with bream to around 2lb,fantail goldfish, Crucians to around 1.5 lb,roach rudd ,perch and small carp.Had a job lifting the keep net out of the water after 5 hours!.
Thanks for the info.Not over keen on 'commercial' pools these days but its a very good fishery.

Yup i saw that.
IF we come up again next year it will certainly be on our list for a few trips.The roach and Rudd on that lake(last but one-Island !) were pristine.
As i said the owner/bailiff thought we were a touch mad i think:lol!: .
We went up one evening for about two hours or so before dark,no nets out.He came round and said to me,no good then?,errrr yup blinding i replied mostly Rudd with some close on the pound mark and one a chuck.
Oh! your two mates down the other end are catching roach one a chuck. Don't get many people fishing for those in here,they all fish for the carp.Where do you come from?,Surrey i replied.With an odd look and a sigh he said
