well the sun shone all week long then we went fishing! oh dear we arrived at the riddings fishery this morning in heavy rain and strong winds and we all got a good soaking walking to the far end of the fishery to the crucian pool.the day started badly for big pete infact he went off his trolley in fact it ended up in the bin! the trolley that is draw done and micky drew the peg we all wanted peg 1 at the top end of the pool. i had dave gordon and neil for company either side of me.as we set up the rain stopped but that damn cold wind continued to blow all bloody day long the whistle blown and off we went. i opted for the pole with maggot/ pellet fed over ground bait while neil and dave went across to the far side on the feeders.dave was in from the off with a few small carp. i could see alfie had a few decent fish on the feeder from the off. all i was catching was roach and skimmers.big bad micky was catching carp almost every put in down the edge on meat.daves catches seemed to dry up and he switched to the pole and was catching a few bits in the margin. neil started catching bits up in the water so i coppied the bugger and i had a couple of crucians and plenty of rudd. by this time i could see tony dragging out a good few carp and alfie was swinging carp in the trees 2 young lads turned up on the far bank with aldi rods and reels and a deck chair each and started pulling out double figure carp every bloody cast anyway as the day was coming to an end we all new it was between micky and tony as they had been catching all day long..................... gits!!!! in the the end it was micky's day with over 79 lb in his net and tony had 32lb in his. so micky was crowned this years champion, congratulations micky mate bad luck tony you know how it feels now to come second below we find tony enjoying the sunshine
big john snr ready for the off neil having fun in the mud big peter having a look to see what daves catching on , you have more chance of winning the lotto pete than dave telling you that sort of info daft colin enters the silly hat contest again ! talking of silly hats here's alfie and stuart i think its love, but only in a manly sort of way the three wise men gather round micky's peg anyone would think it was cold paul! mr kibble hanging around the car park, strange bloke enough said! another car park rambler! part of micky's catch bloody car park seems very popular today! micky trying to brake into my car!!!!!!!!!!!!! well thats the winter league done and dusted for another year, the real stuff starts again next week. thanks to all the lads that supported us again this year and once again well done micky davis 2014/15 champion good on ya mate.
