over worked and under paid . fishing in two weeks time a match at a place called lavender hall. fished two weeks ago at packington somers and never had a bite on the coldest day of the century! 4 caught 8 blanked and 2lb won it lol . hope you have more luck than us.

We are not staying up at Arley this year,site closed Sad
Staying down near Worcester-Cotheridge.Understand the Jam Factory is close by and also Cobb House.
Could well be tapping you up for some info if you know them.

know the jam factory very well. we have a match there in july. all pools ar stuffed with decent carp with some very big lumps. some big barbel in a couple of the pools as well.

thanks for that,will almost certainly try the Jam factory as its pretty close to hand.Cob House is a real possible as well,that is very close by also.
Guess a Sunday would be 'matched up'? at the Jam factory?. Will probably go to Wilden Pool up at Stourport as we did last year.Very nice fishery,the guy got us on despite two seperate comps going on,caught plenty,carp,roach,rudd,bream,skimmers etc.If you have never been there its worth a look,really nice spot.
Will be on the Teme this time around as its only over the road to our lodgings but will do the severn as well.Quite possibly my last trip up there as far as angling holidays go,65 this year soooooooooooooo
getting to damn old for all that excitement-lol.
With regards to the Jam Factory,any thoughts on the best pool/s to go for?

i favour ash or willow pool chris at the jam factory but old and sycamore are also excellent. sycamore has agood head of decent sized barbel. most weekends are fully booked for matches down there so try mid week.
