Subject: 2nd bye hunnington fishery 19/05/12 Sun May 20, 2012 11:58 am
well it turned out to be a strange sort of day with only 14 members contesting this one. weather wise it was an overcast day with a cold north easterly blowing right across the pool. fishing wise we could have had a fantastic gudgeon only match as the pool was full to the brim with gonks! in the corner peg was mr mcalinden the younger, smile neil!
winner on the day was the chap below mr john pool who weighed in an excellent 29 plus bag of carp, well done john boy
to my right was david evans looks cold don't he
getting ready for the off was myself ,surely i'll catch a few today can't take anymore stick after blanking last time out
fishing the peg next to me was andrew kibble who had a decent days sport catching a good bag of gudgeon and roach.
oh dear oh dear looks like humpty dumpty is having a fag break big pete had another good day finishing in the money by coming fourth.
next we come to dave gordon still fishing while this picture was taken. dave had a bit of a run in with the fishery boss and was asked to pack up his gear for useing a barbed hook! dave says he was not useing barbed hook but the gaffer was having none of it and dave had no option but to pack up and was scratched from match. dave is not the type to cheat and he says he was not fishing with barbed hooks then that is good enough for me! mind you i wouldn't want to borrow a hook from him now sorry dave
in the golden peg we find mr poole the younger he might have won the match if he'd been awake! open ya eyes man !
what can you say about the chap below apart from get rid of the stupid hat!
come on gordon youv'e only got 5 hours to thread the line through your hook mate
and here is stan the man who told us he had a trout in his net! should have gone to spec savers stanley
mr consistant alfie mobbs seems happy about something!
getting set up before the whistle micky davis
dave being banned spoilt the day but plenty of fish caught. lets hope the sun comes out for us in two weeks time at the riddings. see you all there chaps!
