well the weather man got it right for once
heavy rain followed us down the m5 to elmbridge nr droitwich. we all arrived after only a couple of missed turns on the way (yes i know my fault!
) with heavy rain falling the draw was done in a barn next to the peacock pool which is where our match took place. the chuckle brothers didn't fancy getting out of the car so other's drew their pegs. i drew peg 18 an end peg next to a tree and i was well pleased with it
in peg 17 was david evans, with john poole and alfie to his right. next to alfie was mark poole below and what a day he was about to have!
well the match got unerway and my whitle was full of water and i had trouble with my pea
there was no let up in the rain or the sound of big pete who never stopped talking
from where i was fishing i could only see two other members, one was big pete ( i could hear him as well
) and one half of the chuckle brothers mr preece below.

well the rain kept falling and the fish kept coming for the lot the other side of the tree from me, couldn't see em but i could hear the splashes from the carp. meanwhile i landed yet another 2oz roach!

well saturday saw the semi finals of the k.o competitions and i was hoping my partner john was catching, cuz i wasn't

well the rain did stop long enough to do the weigh in, big pete with a lovely 10lb carp
