well it was yet another good turn out with all 20 pegs filled once more, well done every one
well after parking up and a short stroll along the grand union canal it was time for the draw. the pool looked excellent with all pegs having features to fish too. everyone seemed happy with their draw apart from davey boy gordon and my old man! moan.moan,moan
anyway ten minutes in and we were hit with the first shower of the day and what a shower! dave baldy preece had the good sense "NOT" to bring a brolly
after about an hour it became all to much for dave and rightly decided to call it a day, the poor old bugger was soaked. well as the rain slowed and the sun came out for a while it looked like everyone was catching a few fish, which was excellent news after the last match!
to my left young marie lost a good tench at the net and i could see colin horner landing a few decent skimers. to my right maca was landing a huge carp. on the other bank my old man , moan.moan and more moans
. this was going to be a very close match and due to the shape of the pool no one could see more than a few fellow anglers so no idea who was winning. i had 3 decent carp and lost a couple of lumps
i could see mark cooper catching well late on (git
).
anyway as the clock struck 3pm i blew the whistle and down came the rain again for the third time!
to wet to care anymore i tipped over my trolley , box and everything else, oh deep joy
