well saturday got off to an eventval start as most of us stood around in the rain at the riddings waiting for the sat nav crew who went about 25 miles in the wrong direction up the A 5 taking in lichfield and brownhills on their travels . not bad when you consider they should been 2 miles the other side of tamworth on the atherstone road! mark poole , john poole, colin hewitt, dave gordon, dave preece and stewart berrow we salute you well we decided to carry on with the draw while the sat nav crew enjoyed their 1 and half hour drive which took everyone else 20 minutes we drew john pool peg 5 out of the bag which turned out to be the golden peg and the old bugga only went and won it well done mr poole you kicked all our arses on the day and fair play to john he bought us all a drink in the club on sunday out of his winnings anyway the match turned out to be very hard work with most of us only catching the odd carp. well done to jim who came second on the day with 26lb plus and bob who had 22lb plus. it then dropped down to 14lb for 4th place which micky davis put on the scales. after that it was a hell of a drop with 8lb coming 5th!!!!!!!!! at least the rain held off the wind was gusting all day but thank god it was shelterd by the 50 foot pine trees all the way around the pool.anyway well done all who took part on the day. now the pictures. first up it's thumbs up from bob williams. next up stewart helps old club foot poole weigh in his fish! you can always rely on stan to wear a silly hat! the beast reflects on a hard days fishing stewart doing an excellent job as always on the scales dan weighing in big colins turn at the scales next up mr kibbles turn john goodes turn while his body gaurd dave gordon complete with ear piece looks on miss gordon looks like she's having a dance carol had another good day dave c.i.a. gordon drags his fish out jim had another good day, well done mate. guest for the day nick lane looks happy enough with his catch. colin horner had a great day wighing in 1-8-0 , don't laugh you lot he worked hard for that lot up in the corner mick webster was very quiet stewart and dan weighing in micks catch dan what a bloody poser! well thats another one done. see you all at blythe waters next month.
