Lack of rain

How are your fisheries/rivers standing up to the lack of rain?.
Down here things are going to be grim come June.One fishery(trout) that we use,drains down its lakes one at a time for liming and reed cutting etc.The main lake usually re fills via the springs and small stream within 2 weeks,this time has taken twelve .
Those lakes not drained are already showing signs of Algal blooms and surface weed which is crazy at this time of year.Temps this week expected to hit 20c midweek.
Bet the Severn is already down?

just got back from burnham on sea chris and all rivers and pools down there look ok. pool i was fishing was at normal level as are most of the waterways around the west midlands. the two exceptions i know of are highley's farm and earlswood lakes which have both had problems for over a year.

The upper reaches of the river Kennet(you may have heard of it) have dissapeared altogether

weather was great, fishing excellent. had the pool to my self. just a handful of pensioners AND NO KIDS! brilliant!

Keith, did you give your new rod a try out?
