| Not been for over three years,but three of us had a morning at 'the big one' angling show/sale at Farnborough in Hampshire.Being more a fly angler there was a limited amount of gear as most was coarse stuff.Picked up a fly rod-£10  like i need another one.Got a three pce waterproof suit £40,jacket,fleece and trousers some fly line and odds and ends.Mate picked up a nice little centre pin for £30 and Abu fixed spool reel for £20. Loads of bargains -Bivvies from £40,two man double skinned,a steal.Loads of reels,tackle bags,holdalls etc all at knock down prices.The upper end-Fox and Hardy/Greys etc offered no real bargains however.A few faces there including Bob Nudd,he was busy all morning, seemingly a popular bloke.. Managed a few beers on the way home as well |
